Sandy Fielden, Director, Oil Research

Mr. Fielden is the Director of Research for the Commodities and Energy group at Morningstar. Prior to joining Morningstar in 2016, he was Director of Energy Analytics within RBN Energy. At RBN, he authored and edited a daily blog distributed to 20,000 energy professionals and frequently presented at RBN's "School of Energy" conferences.

Mr. Fielden has more than 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and holds the Energy Risk Professional designation from the Global Association of Risk Professionals. Fielden holds a bachelor's degree in international history and politics from Leeds University and a master's degree in business administration with a concentration in international business from Bradford University.

Matthew Hong, Director, Power & Gas Research

Mr. Hong is the Director of Research, Power and Gas at Morningstar. Prior to joining Morningstar in 2017, he held several roles in consulting, trading and analytics at Cargill. His most relevant experience include coal trading, power analytics, power and gas corporate strategy, and trading technology. Mr. Hong has more than 10 years of experience in the energy industry. Hong holds a bachelor's degree in international business and marketing from Marquette University and a master's degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
